ABOUT ME
With over 25 years of experience as a clinical therapist, I have worked with clients navigating complex mental health and substance abuse challenges. Currently, I specialize in trauma healing, focusing on supporting women who have experienced abortion and are seeking guidance on their healing journey.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of New England in 2002. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in various roles, including serving as the team lead for Southern Maine's Tri-County Mental Health as a therapist at the Maine State Prison's Women's Correctional Center. I was entrusted with the stories of women often dealing with complex, unhealed trauma—issues that frequently intersected with addiction, abuse, and maladaptive belief systems.
I have dedicated my career to offering compassionate support and guidance. My work also includes utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process their trauma, empowering them to embrace life with greater freedom, resilience, and joy. I am committed to walking alongside individuals seeking emotional recovery after abortion, providing the care and healing they need to move forward with confidence and peace.
MY FOCUS
My focus is to create a safe and compassionate space where adults can heal from the experience of abortion. This is a judgment-free environment designed to provide support, comfort, and healing for anyone carrying emotional pain related to abortion, whether recent or in the distant past.
MY APPROACH
My approach is centered on listening with empathy, understanding, and responding thoughtfully. As both a therapist and someone who has personally experienced abortion, I know the journey from pain to healing. I aim to offer mindful, compassionate guidance and practical steps to support others through their healing process. I follow a spiritually centered, whole-person method of healing.
